Zero COVID-19 Reported In Allegheny Co. For Second Straight Day

16 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed on Friday

    PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – For the second straight day zero COVID-19 related deaths have been reported in Allegheny County.

    The Allegheny County Health Department has announced 16 new cases, seven more compared to Thursday.

    A total of 2,138 cases are confirmed in the county, 138 are probable.

    Of those cases 2,000 are confirmed

    14 percent of those cases are in Healthcare workers.

    The total number of those that have died of coronavirus in the county remains at 177.

    All deaths range in age from 42-103 with 84 being the median age.

    In addition, zero new hospitalization are being reported. The number of those who have been hospitalized past or present is 361.

    According to the PA Department of Health, 45,035 people have tested negative for coronavirus.

    The age breakdown:

    00-04 – 16 (1%)
    05-12 – 23 (1%)
    13-18 – 36 (2%)
    19-24 – 144 (7%)
    25-49 – 718 (34%)
    50-64 – 552 (26%)
    65 + -- 649 (31%)

    The gender of those with COVID-19 are listed below:

    Female – 1,149 (54%)
    Male – 989 (46%)
