PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Shop N Save Westmoreland County Air Show returns for another year at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe this weekend.

Gabe Monzo, Executive Director of the Westmoreland County Airport, joined KDKA on Friday to get us ready.

Monzo expects a big crowd if weather permits.

"We think we'll have 100,000 (people) over the two days," Monzo said.

There are two ways spectators can view the show, either in the lawn or on blacktop, Monzo tells KDKA;

“The tarmac usually gets to be about 100-110 degrees.” He continued,

“We also have a grassy area. You can bring a blanket and lay out in that grass. It’s a great way to watch an air show.”

The show will feature the Air Force Thunderbirds and Army Golden Knights. There will also be civilian acts.

It's a “full show" according to Monzo.

They will also be respectful towards individuals who are waiting to park their car.

"If we see traffic starting to back up on the street, we'll let them in and let them get parked,” Monzo added.

The show reminds viewers how talented the soldiers of this country are.

 “It really makes you feel good about the military and what they represent,” said Monzo.

Tickets are $12 in advance, or $20 at the gate. Tickets are also available at Shop N Save for $8.

Performances start at 11:00am and last until around 5:00pm.
