20 Residents Test Positive For Rehab Center In Beaver

Six are hospitalized, 14 are in quarantine

BEAVER, Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The coronavirus is taking a heavy toll on one rehabilitation center in Beaver County.

The Times Online reports that 20 residents have tested positive at Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Beaver.

Six of them have been hospitalized.

The Rest are under quarantine.

The first reports of the outbreak at the center came on Thursday.

Medical Director Dr. Dave Thimons tells the Times, they are accepting donations that any group can make.

That includes masks, gowns, face shields and other protective equipment.

Beaver was added to Governor Tom Wolf’s “Stay at Home” order over the weekend.
