97 New Cases Of COVID In Allegheny Co., 6 More Deaths

    PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Allegheny County is reporting 97 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, three less than reported on Thursday.

    The new cases are out of 1,897 tests with the age range of those affected between 1 and 86, with a median age of 33.

    All of the latest cases are confirmed.

    The date of the positive tests ranged from July 14 through August 6.

    In addition, eight new hospitalizations are being reported along with six additional deaths.

    The latest deaths include five people in their 80s and another in their 90s. Four of the deaths are associated with long term care facilities. Those deaths range between August 1 and August 5.

    Since March 14, a total of 8,709 people have been infected with coronavirus in the county with 721 hospitalized and 257 dead.
