PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - More turmoil in the Allegheny County Democratic Party.

Vice Chairman, State Representative Austin Davis, has resigned.

Davis tells KDKA Radio's Lynne Hays Freeland he can no longer work with party chair Eileen Kelly.

“Eileen Kelly and I have had significant differences in party leadership and operations almost from the very beginning.

Kelly has drawn fire for her comments after committee endorsements this month blaming other Democratic officials for dividing the party.

“We don’t share the same vision for the direction of the Democratic and I question whether we share some of the same values, period,” said Davis.

Several others including Congressman Mike Doyle and state senator Wayne Fontana have called for Kelly to step down.

She defended the committee endorsing a candidate who once supported President Trump.
