Allegheny Co. Reports 13 Additional Deaths, 70 COVID Cases

The deaths occurred between July 25 through August 11

    PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Allegheny County is reporting an additional 13 deaths on Wednesday due to coronavirus.

    The deaths range from July 25 through August 11. Two people were in their 60s, three in their 70s, six in their 80s and two in their 90s. Nine of them were residents of long term care facilities.

    The county says that the commonwealth imported data from its Electronic Death Reporting System, generating some of the reports.

    In addition 70 new cases were reported on Wednesday, five less than on Tuesday.

    The positive cases come from 1,775 test results that ranged from August 3 through August 11.

    The ages of the new cases range from 6 to 96 years old.

    Of those cases, 68 are confirmed and two are probable.

    One additional person has been hospitalized.

    Since March 14 there have been 9,078 cases of COVID-19 with 738 hospitalized and 273 deaths.
