PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Allegheny County spent nearly $670,000 on the trial of former East Pittsburgh Police Officer Michael Rosfeld.

The Tribune Review reports $500,000 of that went to training, equipment and overtime in preparation for violent protests that never occurred.

Transporting, housing and feeding the trial's out-of-town jury cost the courts around $40,000.

Pittsburgh has not yet compiled their costs for the trial.

The City spent more than $1 million on officer overtime during protests after Rosfeld shot and killed Antwon Rose II last June.
