Allegheny Health Department Orders Republican Men's Club Closed

The club was operating while dine-in services are suspended in the county

    PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Young Men Republican Club of Allegheny County has been ordered closed for a least seven days following failure to comply with COVID-19 mitigation efforts.

    In a report, the Allegheny County Health Department says and inspection was performed after a complaint was filed.

    The facility was discovered to still be open, despite a county-wide order that dine-in services halt temporarily.

    Food and beverages were being served along with beverages at the club on the North Side.

    The report also shows a bartender was not effectively wearing a mask. He was wearing it under his nose.

    Tables and seat were also inadequately spaced apart and there was no indication of reduced capacity.

    Dine-in services are shut down in Allegheny County until at least July 23.
