Rabid Raccoon Discovered In South Hills

Allegheny Health Department confirms a raccoon has tested positive for rabies

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A rabid raccoon has been discovered in the South Hills.

The Allegheny County Health Department says a raccoon brought into them recently has tested positive for rabies.

The animal was discovered in Upper Saint Clair near the intersection of Murdstone Road and Salem Drive.

The health department is asking any residents with pets near that area to keep an eye on their pet for any unusual behavior.
