PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) — 21-year-old Israel Moon of McKees Rocks is in custody in connection with last weekend's shooting death of 18-year-old Jassim Al-Maleky in Kennedy Township.

Moon turned himself in Tuesdat and is in the Allegheny County Jail facing criminal homicide and weapons charges.

Police say Al-Maleky was watching a fist fight when Moon allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired into the group on Kennedy Lane Saturday afternoon.

Family and friends gathered last night to remember Al-Maleky, who played football at Sto-Rox High School and graduated last month.

They held a vigil on the football field.

Al-Maleky was planning to attend Robert Morris University.
