PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Retired Judge Robert Dzvonick was one of Mike Pintek’s favorite guests and was one of his most popular segments.

Back in 1994 Pintek had heard about a case in which a student was forced to wear a Dunce cap in Dzvonick’s court room after the young man had tried to hurt a teacher by throwing a heavy object at her.

Dzvonick became Pintek’s unofficial “KDKA law man” and seven or eight years ago “Ask the Judge” became a staple with the judge and Pintek winning a Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters award last year for the popular segment.

When Robert Mangino transitioned back to nights he decided to bring back the segment to honor Mike and to give the listeners more of what they want… Judge Dzvonick!

“When I was given the opportunity to do a traditional talk show again in the evenings, my first thought of who to have on as a guest was to bring back Judge Dzvonick on a regular basis. He has a big personality with an old school, no nonsense approach to the law and at the same time he also has great compassion for young people, in trying to get them back on the straight and narrow. I truly look forward to our conversations on the first Wednesday of every month for 2019 and I think the listeners of KDKA will too,” said Mangino.

Mangino and retired Judge Dzvonick host “Ask the Judge” every first Wednesday of the month at 8 p.m. on Newsradio 1020 KDKA
