BEAVER, Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Beaver County officials are again angry they have to wait an extra week to go into the green phase.

Officials protested loudly when they have to wait an extra week to turn yellow, largely because of the high case rate at the Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness center.

Beaver County Commissioner Tony Amadio said Friday, “We got our idea across to him, he knew exactly what we were trying to say and so we’re just going to have to follow through with the two week metric.’

Asked if he’ll encourage businesses to go green a week early, as they did with yellow, Amadio says he’ll encourage people to be careful.
