Blue Line Library Expected To Reopen Sunday

Crews have complete repairs following June flood damage

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — Port Authority expects work on the Blue Line Library LRT Line to reopen this weekend.

Crews are inspecting and testing the line Friday and Saturday following repairs after flood damage closed the line and park and ride lots in June.

If everything goes to plan, service will resume Sunday morning.

The Blue Line was initially meant to reopen September first before resources were allocated to the Station Square cleanup after Norfolk Southern freight cars fell on the LRT station from the tracks above.
