Bridgeville Police Say Missing 12-Year-Old Boy Found Safe

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Bridgeville police say they have found a missing 12-year-old boy/

Authorites said on Facebook "UPDATE 4:45 PM ROBERT HAS BEEN FOUND, HE IS SAFE AND IN OUR CUSTODY!! ONCE AGAIN SOCIAL MEDIA HAS COME THROUGH IN A BIG WAY. 
A FACEBOOK FOLLOWER CALLED IN A TIP THAT LED US TO THE GREENTREE/SCOTT TWP. AREA WHERE SCOTT TWP. POLICE TOOK HIM INTO PROTECTIVE CUSTODY UNTIL WE ARRIVED AND TRANSPORTED HIM BACK TO BRIDGEVILLE."

Authorities say Robert Rave; a white male with blonde hair was last seen at 7 a.m. Tuesday morning, after spending the night at a friend’s house on Greenbriar Drive in Scott Township.

He did not go to school and does not have a cell phone.

Rave is 5 feet, 9 inches and was last wearing dark pants and a dark shirt.

He is known to frequent Scott Township, Carnegie, Heidelberg, Bridgeville, and South Fayette.
