PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — A massive water main break in Carrick disrupted traffic and classes Friday morning.

Abraham Lincoln Elementary School in Bethel Park, Baldwin Community United Methodist Church Preschool, Baldwin-Whitehall Schools, Brentwood School District, Keystone Oaks School District, Mt. Lebanon School District, St. Bernard in Mt. Lebanon, Seton-La Salle, South Fayette School District, Unity Preschool, and Wesley High School all closed.

Pittsburgh Public Schools also canceled classes at Pittsburgh Beechwood, Brookline, Banksville, Carrick, Concord, Carmalt, Roosevelt, South Brook, Pioneer, and West Liberty.

Penn American Water crews are working to shut off the line on East Agnew Ave. that dumped water down Becks Run Rd. onto East Carson St.

Two people and six cats had to be rescued from a home that was flooding, and power has been shut off in some areas as a precaution.

There were traffic restrictions in the area.
