PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Celebrate the New Year at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust! First Night Pittsburgh, sponsored by Hallmark, is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

"The festivities kick off at 6:00p.m. With the Dollar Bank children's fireworks,” said Sarah Aziz, Director of Festival Management at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.

“The Byham has comedy, the O’Reilly has magic, CAPA’s got acrobat, and the August Wilson center has dance.”

There will also be a penny arcade, a performance by Steel Town Fire, and Durand Jones and the Indications will put on a concert until the ball drops at midnight.

In order to view these acts, you must buy an admission “button” for the price of ten dollars. Kids five and under are free.

There are also V.I.P. tickets for $40.

“If you buy the $40 ticket, you’ll have some better access to different show times that may already be sold out to the general audience,” Aziz tells KDKA Radio.

If you buy two V.I.P. tickets, you will receive a parking pass to the Theater Square Garage (a $15 value itself).

If you’re afraid of rain or cold weather, don’t let that deter you.

“Last year it was super freezing and it was still a great event,” Aziz added.
