PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A sharp turn in weather is coming this weekend.

AccuWeather meteorologist Elliot Abrams tells the KDKA Radio Morning News, after the heavy rain Friday we’ll dip below freezing overnight into Saturday and could see some snowflakes in the air.

The snow isn’t expected to accumulate locally but the Laurel Highlands could see several inches and around Lake Erie, they could get 6-12 inches of snow.

Saturdays highs won’t get out of the mid 30s and we’ll warm up to a high of 43 Sunday.

There is also a chance for some accumulating wet snow early next week.
