Consumer Alert Issued For Chinese Restaurant At Robinson Mall

China Max hit with 11 violations

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A consumer alert has been issued for China Max, in the Mall at Robinson food court, by the Allegheny County Health Department.

Officials said the alert stems from an inspection following a complaint. 

The restaurant had a total of 11 violations including improperly cooling food, cold holding temperatures and failure to maintain temperatures.

The high-risk violations include a pan of cooked chicken and bowls of rice not being cooled at the proper temperature.

China Max was also cited for poor employee personal hygiene. One employee was observed handling ready-to-eat food with bare hands.
