Consumer Alert Issued For O'Hara Restaurant

Atria's says the issues is resolved and they are just awaiting reinspection

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for Atria's Restaurant and Tavern in O'Hara Township.

The report cites unsafe cooling of prepared foods, and employees handling food that is ready-to consumer.

Other issues include employees eating in food preparation areas and inadequate facilitates to maintain safe food temperatures. 

Dean Chobanian, regional manager with Atria’s, explains to KDKA Radio, “Due to the extreme heat, we had issues with one of our coolers at the O’Hara Township location. The issue was recognized and in the process of being repaired prior to our visit from the health department. The issue has since been rectified and we are waiting for a reinspection tomorrow. Atria’s has always taken our food safety and handling very seriously and will continue to do so.”
