Coronavirus Forces Pittsburgh Home & Garden Show To Close Early

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Pittsburgh Home & Garden Show is ending its 2020 run two days earlier than originally planned.

The show was scheduled to run through Sunday afternoon, March 15. However, the show closed as of Friday night.

The show posted the following statement on their website: "In observance of the updated Allegheny County Health Department COVID-19 guidelines released late this afternoon, and in consultation with the management of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, the Pittsburgh Home & Garden Show management closed the 2020 Show, effective immediately. The Show was scheduled to run through this weekend, March 14 and 15. Individuals who purchased advance tickets online will be contacted by email to receive a full refund."


Earlier tonight, Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto tweeted that the show had been ordered to close.
