COVID-19 Exposure Confirmed At Belle Vernon Graduation

Masks and social distacing were in place during the ceremony

    PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Belle Vernon School District Superintendent Dr. Michele Dowell says it has come to their attention that a there was a known positive COVID-19 case during a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 24.

    Dr. Dowell says masks were worn and social distancing were in place during the event.

    The district adds anyone who attended the event and are concerned about possible exposure to contact their primary care physician.

    Belle Vernon has been in contact with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and are following their recommendations.

    Symptoms of coronavirus typically appear within 2-14 days of exposure.
