Crews Repairing Separate Water Main Breaks Around Pittsburgh

Neighborhoods in Pittsburgh and Upper St. Clair are affected

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - PSWA has issued a precautionary boil water advisory in Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar and Homewood Neighborhoods after a water main break this morning which caused a loss in water pressure.

The PWSA says when there’s a loss in pressure, contaminants can enter drinking water.

A water buffalo for affected customers will be placed at the vacant lot next to the fire station at 7024 Lemington Avenue.

PA American Water says crews are making emergency repairs on a main in Upper Saint Clair.

Customers on Lesnett Road, Pennsylvania Avenue, Critchfield Road and Missouri Avenue.

Affected areas will experience no water, low pressure and or discolored water.

If you experience discolored water, run it until it clears before using.

Crews say it could take 11 hours before water service is restored.
