Norwin High School Dismisses Early After Bomb Threat

North Huntingdon Police say a suspect is in custody

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - All schools in the Norwin School District were on modified lockdown Tuesday after an alleged bomb threat was made against Norwin and Jeannette High Schools.

Norwin High School students were dismissed early Tuesday as police bomb detection dogs will search the high school as a precautionary measure.

According to a message sent to parents, a suspect is in custody and was believed to have been apprehended at Robbins station at Clay Pike Road by North Huntingdon Police.

The lockdown has been lifted at other schools and normal operations will resume

Parents and guardians who wish to pick their child up may do so beginning at 11:30.
