PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A popular event center in the north and south hills have closed its doors - very abruptly.

Alex Truman, a Cranberry resident who reserved his wedding and reception at Noah’s Event Venue in Cranberry for this October, was shocked when he discovered the news.

“I was sitting at work and I had about a dozen missed calls from a couple of my friends and my fiancé. I decided to call her back and I find out that it was all over Facebook and other social media outlets,” Truman said during an interview with KDKA Radio on Monday morning.

After making a down payment of $8,000, there is no guarantee that he and fiancé Alyssa will receive a reimbursement.

“Only if the credit card companies will go and dispute those charges,” Truman explains.

With the wedding only a few months away, the two had to explore other options.

“All weekend, I played venue hunter again and I went out with my fiancé and some of our family members and actually found another venue,” Truman adds.
