5-Year-Old Gets Ride To School In Fire Truck to Honor Late Firefighter Dad

Instead of taking a yellow bus to his first day of kindergarten, five-year-old cooper got to take a yellow fire truck. 

Coop’s dad Christopher, a volunteer firefighter, died suddenly in a motorcycle accident in May.

But the dad of three wanted to take Cooper for his first day of school in a fire truck just as his dad did for him. So, his fellow firefighter brothers made sure the dream came true. Mom Jessica told Radio.com that the Sullivan County Volunteer Firefighters Department are uncles to her kids and she finds comfort that they’ll always lookout for them. 

Cooper hopes to become a firefighter one day, just like his dad and it looks like he’s more than on his way to fulfilling that dream.
