PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The first funerals were held Tuesday for the victims of Saturday's shooting at Tree of Life Synagogue.

Hundreds gathered at the Jewish Community Center Tuesday, wrapping around the corner, for the funeral of Dr. Jerry Rabinowitz.

Rabbi Ben Greenfield came all the way from St. Louis and he tells KDKA Radio Jews around the world are mourning.

“Something happened in our local community, we would all show up. If something happens in our national community, we all show up,” said Greenfield.

The other funerals Tuesday for the victims of Saturday’s mass shooting were for David and Cecil Rosenthal at the Rodef Shalom Congregation and for Daniel Stein. That service was private.
