Flash Flood Warning in Effect for Allegheny, Westmoreland and Washington Counties

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning in effect till after 8:00 p.m. for Allegheny and  Washington County. A flash flood warning is in effectin Westmoreland until 7:30 p.m. Up to 3 inches of rain could fall in some places.

Street flooding has been reported in the area. Elizabeth twp, West Mifflin, Castle Shannon, carrick among areas affected.

Also a New Castle Transit bus involved in an accident at the 279-79 split, southbound in the WEexford area. No injuries reported so far. Another bus being brought in to transport riders
