PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Governor Tom Wolf and Senator Bob Casey have strong leads among registered voters in their re-election campaigns, according to a new statewide poll.

The Franklin and Marshall survey puts Wolf up by 19 points, 48 to 29 percent on Republican challenger Scott Wagner.

Casey leads Congressman Lou Barletta by 17 points.

Pollster Terry Madonna says President Trumps approval rating is up 5 points mainly because of the economy.

"And I do think overall, the voters in our country give president Trump a great deal of the credit" said Madonna.

The poll finds greater interest among Democrats in the mid terms.

The president's approval in Pennsylvania stands at 35 percent.
