PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Mission of Mercy is a free two-day dental clinic at PPG Paints Arena on Friday, July 26th, and Saturday, July 27th.

There will be 100 dental chairs for individuals seeking an examination.

“People will wait probably 4 or 5 hours to get the work done, but it’s worth it because they can get a lot of pain relief,” said Keith Young with Mission of Mercy, during an interview on Wednesday morning.

The dentists volunteering reside in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio.

“A lot of them are going to be doing full 8-9 hour shifts. Several of them are going to be there both days; they really do a lot of good work for us,” Young explains.

137 dentists participated in the event last year, and they are expecting 179 this year.

Doors open at 6:00a.m. and the clinic starts at 7:00a.m., both days.
