Greensburg Diocese Apologies, Will Release Names In Grand Jury Report

The names of those with “credible allegations against them” will be posted on its website.

GREENSBURG, Pa (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Diocese of Greensburg issued an apology Thursday and will release names of clergy accused of sex abuse when the grand jury report on clergy sex abuse in is released.

The announcement also comes with an apology for failing to protect children and also to the survivors of sexual abuse and “all those impacted by the grievous failures of the Catholic Church.”

The diocese says it will put the names of those with “credible allegations against them” on its website.

The diocese has also posted its "2018 Progress Update on Protection of Children: Higher Standards of Today's Catholic Church".

The report on clergy sex abuse in six Catholic dioceses in Pennsylvania will be made public soon.
