Health Dept. Issues Alerts For Two Local Restaurants

A pizza place in Moon and a sushi shop in Oakland have been cited

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Allegheny County Health Department has issued consumer alerts for two local restaurants.

 Pizza DeCasa located on Fern Hollow Road in Moon Township was cited for multiple violations including issues with cooling and holding foods, not using thermometers, a problem with flies and a “certified manager not present.”

Mount Everest Sushi on Oakland Avenue in Oakland was also cited for violations including lack of prevention of cross-contamination, poor personal hygiene and cleanliness from employees and poor cleaning practices.
