(Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Tuesday night, President Donald Trump addressed the nation on prime time television calling the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border “a humanitarian crisis, a crisis of the heart and a crisis of the soul.”

He asked that Congress end the government shutdown and fund a border wall.

Democrat Hillary Clinton took to social media shortly before the address even began and asked her followers “Want to fight back against Trump’s ridiculous address tonight?”

The 2016 Democratic candidate also said “The only border crisis we’re facing is the inhumane detention of kids that has already led to the deaths of two children.”

Clinton’s solution to “fight back” is by donating to the website Act Blue, that is collecting money to “help kids and families at the border.”

Clinton said Wednesday morning the campaign has risen over $100,000 “since the beginning of the president’s TV stunt last night.”

The website says the money will be divided among 10 groups including. Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project, Families Belong Together, Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, Human Rights First, Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), La Union del Pueblo Entero (LUPE), Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES), Texas Civil Rights Project, United We Dream Action, Women's Refugee Commission

After his speech last night the president tweeted “thank you for soooo many nice comments regarding my Oval Office speech. A very interesting experience!”
