Jimmy Dean Sausage Recall

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - CTI Foods says it is voluntarily recalling "a small amount" of its Jimmy Dean Heat ‘n Serve Original Sausage Links.

It says a few consumers contacted the company after finding "small, string-like fragments of metal in the product." No injuries have been reported.

The affected product was produced on August 4th and has a use by date of January 31st for 23.4-oz. pouches of “Jimmy Dean Heat ’N Serve Original Sausage Links made with Pork & Turkey.” More information on the recall is available here.

Consumers are urged to dispose of the sausage or return it to the point of sale.
