'Johnny Angel's Ginchy Stuff and Museum' is right on the North Side

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Right off of Beaver Avenue on the North Side sits one of the Pittsburgh’s best kept secrets.

Three years ago longtime Pittsburgh musician Johnny Angel opened up “Johnny Angel’s Ginchy Stuff and Museum.”

“Ginchy means cool, it’s a 50s word that means cool.”

Angel tells KDKA Radio it collects stuff from his long career and everyone he has worked with.

“James Brown, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Temptations, Four Tops, Martha Reeves, Mary Wilson, Beach Boys, I mean it’s a who’s who of people I’ve worked with and the history of Pittsburgh music,” said Angel.

With Angel’s wife recovering from a liver transplant surgery, his current hours are Friday- Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
