SOUTH STRABANE, Pa (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A landslide occurred in South Strabane Township on Monday night.

The Township shared on their Facebook page that what they call a "road slip" occurred sometime in the evening along Clara Drive.

PennDOT District 12 Executive Joseph Szczur told KDKA Radio that crews are assisting the township in repairs and he attributed an increase a rain to the landslide's creation.

.Crews have made a makeshift access lane so residents can get in and out of their homes.

Szczur said that the township is advising some of those residents to temporarily leave their homes to avoid being landlocked for an extended period of time.

No word on how long repairs will take.
