PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Orchestra seats for Hamilton at the Benedum Center start around $300, but there's a way to get them for $10.

Forty lucky people can get orchestra tickets before each show for $10 each through the official Hamilton digital lottery.

The lottery randomly selects entrants to win up to two tickets for every performance.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Robin Elrod says the lottery opens two days before each show.

“Say you want to put in your name for the January 14 show; you would sign into the lottery two days before that and it opens at 11 a.m.”

Elrod adds only one entry per person is allowed and duplicates will be deleted.

“You shouldn’t try to create many different email addresses and just keep entering because you’re going to need to use your name that matches your ID for your entry.”

Hamilton will be in Pittsburgh from Tuesday, January 1 through Sunday, January 27.

The first lottery will open Sunday, December 30. Download the Hamilton app or visit HamiltonMusical.com for more information.
