PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Lt. Governor John Fetterman wants to know if you’re ready for legal marijuana in Pennsylvania.

The former Braddock mayor announced Thursday, alongside Governor Tom Wolf, that he would be traveling all over the Commonwealth to see how Pennsylvanians feel about the legalizing cannabis.

“Starting in mid-February, I will be traveling to all 67 counties to listen to everyone’s thoughts whether they agree with this initiative or have recommendations,” Fetterman said. “We want to make sure all Pennsylvanians have a say.”

Governor Wolf said he supports Fetterman’s efforts.

“More and more states are successfully implementing marijuana legalization, especially those surrounding Pennsylvania, and we should learn from their efforts, and better understand the potential fiscal impacts of this reality before taking any collective action.”

Where Fetterman will be stopping will be announced in the next few weeks and a webpage will also be made available for those who may not be able to attend a listening session but would like to still comment.

The webpage will be made available once the tour beings.
