Mad Mex in Monroeville Closes After Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19

Monroeville, Pa (Newsraadio 1020 KDKA) - The Mad Mex restaurant is temporarily closed after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.

The restaurant posted the notice on their website, which read "Today (June 25) we learned that one of our employees has tested positive for COVID-19. The last day this employee worked was Tuesday, June 23. We have temporarily closed, and our number one concern is the safety of our employees and guests. We’ll see you again soon when everything is proven to be safe!"

It's not known how long the restaurant will be closed.

In Allegheny County, 146 new cases have been reported since Monday, June 22. The county was among those that moved into the green phase of reopening on June 5.
