Cresco Yeltrah opened a new Medical Marijuana Dispensary in the Strip District this week.

This is Cresco Yeltrah’s (CY+) second location in southwestern Pennsylvania. Co-founder of CY+, Trent Hartley, joined the KDKA Radio Morning News on Thursday to talk about the new dispensary.

He first spoke about the demand for medical marijuana in this area. He said,

“Our dispensary in Butler has serviced up to 130 patients in a single day, and that’s in a seven hour day. The need in Pennsylvania has been very surprising.”

Hartley continued, “It shows you there is a great need and there needs to be more dispensaries. The patient population continues to grow every week.”

Hartley also informed listeners about the products the dispensary offers to patients.

“We’re dispensing oils, tinctures, sprays, vape oils, pills, hashes. Those are all forms that are currently allowed by the state,” He told KDKA.

He said a patient is eligible for a medical marijuana prescription if he or she has one of the 21 state regulated conditions.

Hartley also said there is at least one more dispensary coming to the area;

 “These are the only two we have opened right now. We are licensed for a third one in the southwest region around the Pittsburgh, Butler, Greensburg area. We have not selected a location,” Hartley added.

The new dispensary is located at 2112 Penn Avenue, and is open daily from 10a.m. to 6p.m., except Mondays.
