Montour High School Find Bomb Threat In Girl's Bathroom

A sweep of the school did not find anything suspicious

September 25, 2018 - 5:38 pm

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – A bomb threat was found on a note in a girl’s restroom at Montour High School, in Robinson Township, Tuesday that alluded to an explosion going off on Thursday.

This comes after graffiti was found at Carlynton High School, in Carnegie, last week that made threats of a bomb going off on September 26.

Robinson Township Police and Montour Police did a sweep of the high school and “did not find anything suspicious or out of the ordinary.”

The district says another sweep will be done on Wednesday and all evening activities are canceled as well but all Open House events will go on as scheduled Wednesday evening. Additional security will be on site through the week as the investigation continues.

Montour Superintendent Dr. Christopher Stone said in a statement, “In light of this trending message, I want to assure you, we are taking every step necessary to ensure the security and well-being of our students and staff.”
