PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — An autopsy was performed Wednesday on Nalani Johnson and the manner of death was homicide.

Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala tells the Post-Gazette the cause of death will not be determined until a review of the toddler's medical records and more tests.

Nalani was found dead Tuesday in Blairsville still strapped into her car seat. There were no visible signs of trauma.

In April, Nalani’s mother Gladys Duarte got a temporary Protection From Abuse order against Nalani’s father Paul Johnson.

Duarte said Johnson “admitted to almost killing" her daughter and himself.

The PFA lapsed when no one showed up for the final hearing.

Johnson's girlfriend Sharena Nancy is charged with the kidnapping accused of driving off with Nalani when Johnson got out of her vehicle.

No one has been charged in Nalani’s death.

Visitation will be held for Nalani from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Mount Ararat Baptist Church on Paulson Ave. with a service will follow.

A candlelight vigil for the toddler will be held at 8:15 p.m. Thursday at the Blairsville Amphitheater.
