Boil Water Advisory Lifted For Portions Of Allegheny County

It is still in effect for customers in the area of Becks Run Road

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pennsylvania American Water announced Sunday morning that the precautionary boil water advisory has been lifted for customers in some areas of Allegheny County following a massive water main break in Carrick on Friday morning. 

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection authorized lifting the advisory after samples were collected on September 20th and 21st. 

The advisory is lifted for customers located in the following municipalities:

  • Baldwin Borough
  • Baldwin Township
  • Bethel Park
  • Brentwood
  • Bridgeville
  • Carnegie
  • Castle Shannon
  • Collier 
  • City of Pittsburgh
  • Clairton
  • Crafton
  • Dormont
  • Dravosburg
  • Green Tree
  • Heidelberg
  • Homestead
  • Ingram 
  • Jefferson Borough
  • Mount Lebanon
  • Mount Oliver
  • Munhall
  • West Allegheny County Municipal Authority Customers
  • North Fayette
  • Oakdale
  • Upper Saint Clair
  • Pennsbury
  • Pleasant Hills
  • Rosslyn Farms
  • Scott Township
  • South Fayette
  • South Park
  • Thornburg
  • West Mifflin
  • West Homestead
  • Whitaker
  • Whitehall

The advisory is still in effect for customers in the area of Becks Run Road. An update regarding the area is expected from Pennsylvania American Water sometime on Sunday.
