PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Elizabeth Forward School District and PA Coach Lines have reached a three-week agreement to transport the students beginning Monday, August 26th.

This means the start of classes has been pushed back from Thursday, August 22nd.

The school district went to court on Tuesday afternoon seeking an injunction to force the company to bus its students.

In a statement posted online, Superintended of Schools Dr. Todd E. Keruskin apologized “for any inconvenience that this delayed start may cause; however, please know that the district is continuing to work diligently to ensure that our students have access to safe and reliable transportation.”

During the temporary three-week agreement, the two sides will negotiate a long term contract.
