Road Construction This Weekend In Ross And Hopewell

Two road construction projects will have an impact on motorists in Western Pennsylvania this weekend.

PennDOT is closing the Perrysville Avenue bridge over I-279 this weekend.  The bridge is located between Connie Drive and Ivory Avenue.  The closure goes into effect at 7 p.m. on Friday night and will remain closed continuously through 6 a.m. Monday morning.

PennDOT's posted detour if your headed South is Route 19 to East Street to Evergreen Road, continue on Evergreen, bear right at the intersection with McKnight Road, to Ivory Avenue back to Route 19.  Northbound detour is the same but in the opposite direction.  Crews will be doing dam replacement work.  This work is part of the $87.94-million I-279 Parkway North Improvement Project.

PennDOT is milling and paving I-376 this weekend in Hopewell Township.  Single-lane restrictions will take place in each direction between the Hopewell interchange (Exit 48) and the Allegheny County line.  The restrictions go into effect at 6 p.m. on Friday and run continuously through 6 a.m. Monday morning.

Due to expected traffic for the Kenny Chesney concert on Saturday, eastbound restrictions will not occur from 2 p.m. until the beginning of the concert.  Westbound restrictions will not occur for approximately two hours after the end of the concert.
