PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Penn American Water crews are on the scene of a water main break that is impacting residents in Castle Shannon and Mount Lebanon on Monday afternoon.

KDKA-TV reported that the break occured along Bockstoce Avenue near Castle Shannon Boulevard on Monday morning.

Castle Shannon Boulevard is currently closed between Myrtle and Willow Avenues as crews work to make repairs.

Penn American Water issued a statement that residents could experience low water pressure or no water service at all in the area around Bockstoce Avenue and Cookie Lane.

Residents could also see cloudy or discolored water when service is restored. Penn America Water said that discolored water should be run until it is clear before use.

Penn American Water is estimating around 9 hours will be needed to complete repairs.
