October 02, 2018 - 10:44 am

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — Commuters parking on the North Shore will see an increase in parking rates before the year is out.

The Post-Gazette reports the Pittsburgh Stadium Authority and the Pittsburgh-Allegheny County Sports and Exhibition Authority both approved rate increases at several lots and garages on the North Shore this month.

The PSA approved a $1 increase for daily rates at Lots 1, 4, 5, Red Lot 6, 7A-7D and 7F-7J near PNC Park, and the West General Robinson Street and the Gold 1 garages near Heinz Field.

The PSEA increases mean the 12- to 24-hour rates at the North Shore Garage on E. General Robinson St. will go up $5 and the 4- to 12-hour rate increases $10.

Daily rates for the Green Lots 21, 22, and 23 near Heinz Field will go from $1 to $8.

There will be no event rate hike.

Increases should take effect Dec. 1st.
