PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - East Pittsburgh police officer Michael Rosfeld was arraigned Wednesday morning for the shooting death of 17-year-old Antwon Rose in June.

Rosfeld did not appear for the arraignment, that is normal and it was a legal assistant to his attorney, Patrick Thomassey who handled the paperwork.

A September 11 court date is set for pre-trial motions before judge Anthony Mariani, who is assigned to the case.

Rosfeld is charged with criminal homicide for shooting Rose three times as he ran from a police stop that followed a shooting in North Braddock minutes before. Zaijuan Hester the other teen in the car with Rose is charged with attempted homicide.

Rose was not armed.
