CONNEAUT, Oh. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - What started as a throwaway line at the end of an online post has gone viral across Pennsylvania.

Mike Morgan, co –owner of Breakwall BBQ in Conneaut, Ohio, right near the PA border, jokingly thanked Governor Tom Wolf for the increased business he has received from PA residents crossing the border to Ohio to dine at his restaurant during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wolf was named the Employee of the Month in jest by Morgan.

Morgan tells KDKA Radio he was shocked the line has garnered so much attention and that even news outlets in Philadelphia have contacted him.

While all of Western PA is in the green phase, Erie County remains in the yellow phase.

Only outdoor dining is permitted in the yellow phase along with delivery and take-out, those in green can welcome customers back inside restaurants at 50 percent capacity.

While Morgan says he is grateful for the increased business, he also feels for restaurants that are still struggling in PA.

Morgan adds he is friends with a lot of the restaurant owners across the state line and hopes they can begin operating soon.

Dine-in returned to Ohio Restaurants in late May with health measures in place.
