PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pennsylvania's top law enforcement officer is calling on the state's lawmakers to respond to the grand jury that investigated clergy sex abuse in the state.

Josh Shapiro tells the KDKA Radio Morning News he expects the PA legislature will act

“I can’t imagine any lawmaker reading this report and not voting for the grand jury recommendations.”

One of those recommendations: opening the statute of limitations to allow victims to file civil suits.

Shapiro also says, as of last night, over 800 calls have come into a hotline for victims of sex assaults by priests.
