Pedestrian Killed In Penn Hills

Early morning collision on Sandy Creek Road

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A man is dead after a pedestrian accident early this morning in Penn Hills. Allegheny County Police say a 37-year-old man was struck around 3:45 a.m. in the 100 block of Sandy Creek Road. 

The unidentified man died at the scene. The driver stopped and called 911. Investigators say the victim was in the center of a northbound lane when he was hit in a poorly lit area with no sidewalks.

An investigation is underway and there's no word yet of any charges. County police are asking anyone with any information to call 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
